Just in case anybody cares:

Made this app to looks like cpu-z and show same thing on cpu tab.

maybe will help newbies to find out what their cpu support, is throtling works and etc.

looking good for me:)

right now detects "fine" only core2 based cpus.

but still really nice work !!!

thx

ps: is there a way to c cpu temp. ?

thx in advance

to read temp.s need a kernel access mode, so need to do a kext(kext will require root password), there is an app doing it already - msr tools.

Are you using a speedstep kext?

Mine shows Core speed (stepping), no Core Voltage info, but does show revision.

Thanks for the effort. Looks like a good tool to have in the OS X toolbox.

There are some errors in the data, but those may have been caused by the override kext I need to boot the system. I use the following:
AppleACPIPlatform.kext
AppleDecrypt.kext
ApplePS2Controller.kext
Disabler.kext
IOATAFamily.kext
SMBIOSResolver.kext
System.kext

The CPU name and socket in my sig are correct. I got them from CPU-Z before I wiped WinXP from the system. The L2 cache should also be correct.
