UPDATE: I added some sort of noise reduction to the internal mic, it seems to work fine just try it... and I have 5.1 surround under audio midi setup, I don't know if it works however, if it works for you just let me know thnx ALC883.zip

coconup
@ kidalive: this is what i thing you should do: go into AppleHDA.kext/plugins/applehdacontroller.kext/contents, open the info.plist and look for ConfigData entry. You will see a lot of numbers like 01171cxx 01171dyy and so on, just change the first number (0) with 1 in each of them, save it, install it and see if it works. coconup
so doesn't it work for you? have u deleted all your previous kexts before installing? however, I made this drivers using this guide and I'm a total noob, now I can't make drivers for everybody first of all because you have to test them on your computer, I can't do it for you. Just follow the guide and try patching the kexts I posted here, cause I think there are just a few things you might change to make them work on your hardware. holyfield
Does not work for my ALC883 on Abit IL9 Pro mobo with ICH7 chipset on OS X 10.5.6 (iDeneb v1.4) AzaliaAudio was the only one i got to work on my IL9 Pro mobo. Still working fro solution. I have attached codec dump (hex and dec versions) and codec graph (hex and dec version) Codec graph is in SVG file format. If someone manages to make audio drivers, let me know Download ALC883 Codec Dump and Codec Graph: ALC883_codec_dump_and_graph.zip
