Bridging The XBOX 360 on osx?

Hey guys

Thanks to this forum i finally have OSX running on my PC!

But the thing is: My PC is on the second floor of my house, and so is my Xbox 360 which is connected to my PC for internet (my PC has Wifi).

I can setup internet sharing and stuff. And it will work. But i get a Moderate NAT and so i cannot join some of my friends or go into chat with them.

When i had XP, i used to bridge the connection between my wireless card and my Ethernet, which still gave me moderate NAT, but i could join all my friends and stuff.

Here's my setup with ip

1.Modem/router->2.Wireless Router->3.PC Wireless->4.PC Ethernet->5.Xbox 360

192.168.1.1........192.168.1.2.........192.168.1.19....192.168.2.1......192.168.2.2

I already opened ports on on router 1. (setting it up to forward to router 2) and Used DMZ on router 2 to forward to my pc, i also turned my firewall of in osx (atleast i think so)

So i should get open NAT (even though its wireles, becuase an other friend of my has it to), but i dont

any help? :blink:

Try the following:

open Terminal application and issue the command:

sudo sysctl -w net.inet.ip.forwarding=1

--- and you will be asked for an administrator password

after the command is executed your MAC OSX will act as an IP router.

I don't know if this what you actually want !!!

In case it is you can in a second step insert the command into an applescript to be run at login

To check the current value is enough to issue: sudo sysctl net.inet.ip.forwarding
