cmaus@mac.com
Hello, everybody. I have finally booted my iMac from the modified XP SP2 CD using xom.efi, but after the restart, and after I removed the CD from the drive, the black screen with the white text says: HDBoot detected, valid Sector on Partition #1 but nothing seems to happen. When I press the F2-Key then, there appears some weird text in different colors in the upper left corner of my iMac's display, and the white text in the center continues: Drive Error Press any key to restart the computer (Which doesn't even work) Anyone has a solution why my iMac doesn't boot off drive C:\ ? cmaus@mac.com
Note: I have created the FAT32-Partition as second partition, the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) partition is the first. But I don't think this is the matter...!?!
cmaus@mac.com
Well, I just read the instructions, where it says that "SOMETHING WENT TERRIBlY WRONG IF YOU WEREN'T ASKED WHICH PARTITION FORMAT TO CHOOSE" And so I think I have to ask the question in a different way: "Why didn't the XP Install display the Partition Format Chooser Menu?" quitbuggingme
you answer your own question. it IS a problem that you made the partitions the wrong way around, and that's what is causing your issue - now go fix it!
