Ok,

Been working on getting my hackintosh up. I have the Dell Inspiron 1525 (specifically the I1525-100B.) And I have been trying to get the display to work without the sleep trick.

Here's the details from my card:

Intel GMA X3100:

Chipset Model: GMA X3100

Type: Display

Bus: Built-In

VRAM (Total): 144 MB

Vendor: Intel (0x8086)

Device ID: 0x2a02

Revision ID: 0x000c

Displays:

Display:

Resolution: 1280 x 800

Depth: 32-bit Color

Built-In: Yes

Core Image: Hardware Accelerated

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No display connected

Is there a way to get this graphics card working without the sleep trick?

The reason being that I've got some games I wanna try out, and as soon as the resolution changes, it freaks out the card and I have to sleep it again.

I've seen the GameSleepX program, and I'd rather just get the system working.

If there are any out there with this graphics card (or better yet this Inspiron) have you gotten the graphics driver working? Can you say how you got it working? Maybe post the kexts?

I'm running Leopard 10.5.5 if that makes a difference. And I'm running the default leopard kexts (vanilla kernel).

I've been reading insanely mac forums for the last 12 hours trying to figure this out.

This is the only remaining barrier for me!

Thanks!
