Mounting problem with Disk Utility

Hey hackers!

I'm trying to triple boot Windows Vista, openSUSE, and OSx86 on my Toshiba Satellite L310. My hard drive set up is as shown:

1. TOSHIBA SYSTEM DRIVE 1.46 GB NTFS (hidden)

2. Windows C drive 118.81 GB NTFS

3. Leopard 9.91 GB FAT32 - to be changed to HFS+

4. Extended

i. HDD RECOVERY 5.63 GB NTFS

ii. Linux swap 1.49 GB ext3

iii. Linux root 5.22 GB ext3

iv. Linux home 6.47 GB ext3

I'm using Kalyway 10.5.2. I do the usual startup into Kalyway, I get no errors in verbose mode. I proceed on to format my Leopard drive in Disk Utility. After I erase it with Mac OS (Journaled) formatting, the partition does not remount! I only get the option to use my Windows drive for the installation, which I definitely don't want to do. I assumed that the partition DID get formatted and so I quit the installer and rebooted. Still did not show up mounted!

I have a feeling there is a problem with the disk utility of my image, but I'm not sure whether I should go all the way and download a new image.

What should I do?

Thanks,

n00b

Try this:

1. Boot into Windows.

2. Use diskpart.

3. Delete Leopard Partition.

4. Create Partition with id=af.

5. Set as active.

6. Reboot into Leopard Installation and check whether it is avaialble or not.

Any problems, then post.
