Hi everybody!

Maybe someone can help me,

I am looking for an AppleAC97Audio.kext specially compiled for the 70121039, because the link to thread above is unfortunately dead, and I am still fighting with my sound card:/

Plz help me. Can u send it to my email oczekp@wp.pl or post it somewhere here!

Best regards!

Here I found the file. I can confirm this works for my SiS AC97 Audio.

Just use the provided script to install the files into your extension folders. If they don't work you can do it manually following the script as a base (like I ended up doing).

It works like a charm.

Thanks a lot. :)

My SiS 7012 still doesn't want to work (using Tiger 10.4.11). :)

Although I install SiS7012.zip, theres no sound device shown (except soundflower, which seems not to be a real device), neither in the system profiler nor the sound system preferences, und no sound out of the any port (pink, green, blue).

lspci (running on OS X) recognises the device:

Hi, is this a simple copy to extensions folder and re-do extensions.mkext?

if not, how do you install??

please help.

Use kext installer from OSX86Tools or the shellscript from the archive. Are you running leopard ?

edit:

SUCCES ! :P

got it to work in Leopard 10.5.5 by installing the AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext plugin from the Sis7012.zip package in the AppleAC97Audio.kext and updating the plist for the device-id. GREAT SOUND now ! :thumbsup_anim:

I'm now installing Leopard 10.5 using iAtkos v7 on a very old Foxconn board. So far all's well except for the sound. 0x71021039 if not mistaken. Could you please give more info on how you got your sound to work please.

Do you extract AppleAC97IntelICH from AppleAC97Audio and then using OSX tool to install it or do you install the whole AppleAC97Audio.kext?

Could you please upload the Sis7012.zip file? I can't find it. I have a AppleAC97Audio.kext but not sure if it is the right one.

Thanks in advance!
