glinan
Hi, after months of researching and learning on how to install Mac OS X on my Toshiba Laptop, I’ve finally got it working. There are a few glitches, but still, what would you expect on Hackintosh right? Really, Mac OS X is a great Operating System. In my opinion, it’s better than Windows. Here’s my Laptop Specifications: [Toshiba Satellite M105-S3004] - Intel Core Duo Processor T2300 (1.66GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 667MHz FSB) - 1gb Ram - Intel Gma 950 Graphics - Realtek ALC861 High Definition Audio - 320Gb Hard Drive (Upgraded from 100gb) - Gigabyte GN-WI01GT-RH or also called AR5006/AR5007egs (replaced my “crappy” Intel PRO/Wireless 3945abg) The tiny problem that I have right now are the Sleep and the Audio. Yes, the Audio is working but there’s a static feedback that you would hear for every 4 to 5 seconds (it’s not that loud, really). As for the Sleep, i've tried every single one of the kernels in the iDeneb DVD, still no luck. so i decided to use the Stage XNU 9.4.0 cause it's up to date but sleep still not working. if you have some solutions with my 2 problems, just reply to this post. What’s Working: - Wifi - Video - Sound (but there’s a static feedback) - USB Ports - Trackpad (the tapping & scrolling motion) - Ethernet - Firewire - Battery Meter - Finger Print Reader What’s not Working: - Sleep [REMOVED] - iDeneb 10.5.5 DVD - Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD - Pacifist (Mac application) Guide: 1. Insert iDeneb 10.5.5 2. after booting up, Go to Utilities > Disk Utility 3. select your Hard Drive 4. go to Partition > select 1 Partition 5. i named it "Mac" > select Mac OS Journaled 6. click Options > select Mbr 7. then Apply 8. exit out of the Disk Utility and continue with your installation. 9. select Customize this is what i've selected: X11 Audio: ALC861 Chipset: ICHx Fixed Kernel: Stage XNU 9.4.0 kernel Ethernet: Intel Pro/100 VE Wireless: Tiger-I080211 Atheros Wifi Adapter Fix: Cpu=1-Fix AppleSMBIOS Mac Pro IOUSBFamilyFix PowerManagement PowerOff_Fix Video: Intel Gma 950 Applications (Optional) – select what you want! 9. After choosing the necessary drivers, click DONE > INSTALL 10. skip the checking of Dvd 11. wait for about 15 to 20 mins. 12. after that, it will reboot. 13. now, you're have a Mac OS X 10.5.5 in your laptop. *** you're not done yet, you would notice your Airport card is not detected*** (we'll gonna fix it) 14. install the Pacifist 2.5.1 15. after installing, insert the Kalyway 10.5.2. 16. in Pacifist, click Open Apple Install Discs 17. select the Kalyway 10.5.2 dvd, it will load the drivers from the Dvd. (after that, you would see a list of Packages) 18. select Contents of Network Adapter > Wifi Cards > go deeper and extract the IO80211Family.kext to your desktop 20. exit out of Pacifist, remove the Kalyway Dvd. 21. on desktop, click you Hard Drive then go to /System/Library/Extensions 22. Drag and Drop the IO80211Family.kext that you got from the Kalyway Dvd. 23. Authenticate and Replace the original kext. 24. Exit out, and go to Disk Utility > Repair Permissions 25. after repairing, Restart your Laptop. 26. now your Airport/Wifi card should be working. (just set it up in System Preferences > Network) 27. and You’re Done!
