fabiopigi
hi i'm a long time "original"-mac user, but i've been disapointed wth the new macbook pro. no high-res display, glossy, etc. i'm now looking for a good laptop with a highres display (1920 on 15") and the ability to add two displays. i found that the Lenovo Thinkpad T500 and W500 are quite good matches. so, i dont really need Ethernet, but i'd need to have WiFi and sound. which of these two laptops acts as a better hackintosh? does anybody already have one of them? Synaesthesia
I don't think either works. Try a Dell XPS M1530 with a 1920x1200 screen. It works.
adelara
I don't think either works. Try a Dell XPS M1530 with a 1920x1200 screen. It works. Well.. I am being "forced" to forfeit my T60 with GMA950, 1400x1050 SXGA in in favor of a W500... I'm able to boot Leopard 10.5.6 on the W500 but nothing is working, other than the bluetooth... The machine is equipped with ATI V5700 video controller for which Leopard didn't come with support, so.... boot in VGA 1024x768, fuzzy screen, horrible. Still not ready to give up but if I can't find the right kexts for the video, ethernet, at least I'll probably have to buy another machine for personal use. So, the answer is still no: the W500 didn't make the cut ...
