Hey guys,

I have installed iAtkos v7 10.5.7 , during the install I have chosen the NVEnabler ( the one which is supposed to be the best and newest kext file, which by itself detects the video card and etc). This is true it detected everything about the card and the resolutions is working great. However, the big problem is the Quartz Extreme and Image Core... in the System Profiler it reads as follows:

GeForce 9600M GT:

 Chipset Model:	GeForce 9600M GT
 Type:	Display
 Bus:	PCIe
 PCIe Lane Width:	x16
 VRAM (Total):	512 MB
 Vendor:	NVIDIA (0x10de)
 Device ID:	0x0649
 Revision ID:	0x00a1
 ROM Revision:	0x
 Displays:
Display:
 Resolution:	1440 x 900
 Depth:	32-Bit Color
 Core Image:	Software
 Main Display:	Yes
 Mirror:	Off
 Online:	Yes
 Quartz Extreme:	Not Supported
 Built-In:	Yes
Display Connector:
 Status:	No Display Connected

The thing is that I have read all the posts on this forum regarding the GeForce 9600M GT, I have tried all methods and kexts and etc. before that. Those attempts were before this last install with the NVEnabler.kext. The thing is that with every of the methods I got the colors, resolutions and etc. to work and they recognized the model of the card. The problem is that with none of the methods the Quartz Extreme and Image Core got to work. I need them to work. Please give me any suggestions or guides or anything to help me run QE/IC .

Thanks in advance.

i have a 9600m GS 1024 and got mine working with this thread here and more info here

I used graphicsenabler and nvenabler, both worked but would have trouble booting (black screen) to desktop on 10.64 64 on my Asus M50 VM. used this n/b on 10.56 before and was never successfull with efi strings (efi was fine on my desktop, had to use nvinject on my book) for me the only solution is the DSDT injection for my 9600m GS. I used the 9600 GT DSDT method by valv and changed my model and ram size to suit.

Hi all.

i follow this How-To with my Sony Vaio AW21S/B that has almost the same hardware.

All it's perfect but i have problem with video (nVidia 9600M GT) becouse after replacing info.boot.plist, at reboot the internal monitor goes black, but i hear audio.

So i connect an external LCD monitor to vga-out and in fact is fully working, also for QE/CI and resolution 1440x900.

So i have a working VGA-Out and HDMI-Out, but not internal monitor (that is a FullHD @ 1920x1080)

I know that this is not a new problem, but i vaven't understand how to solve it.

Please someone can help me?

Thanks
