When I instal OS X Leopard, I have this message...

 

The installer could not create the folder /volumes / Untitled / BaseSystem.pkg.45t2i0w.

 

*Notice that the 0 can be a o, I'm not sure!

You will get this error if there is a "space" in the volume name. For e.g, your attached picture shows that the volume name is "Untitled 1". Give a single word without any spaces as the name to the Volume when you format it as HFS+
