Hi all,

I have run the Processor Indentification Utility test from Intel, http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/ , and it show me surprising results regarding my MacBookPro 2GHz :

Intel® Processor Identification Utility

Version: 2.6.20060206

Time Stamp: 2006/03/25 20:47:37

Number of processors in system: 1

Current processor: #1

Processor Name: Processeur Intel® inconnu

Type: 0

Family: 6

Model: E

Stepping: 8

Revision: 0

L1 Instruction Cache: 32 KB

L1 Data Cache: 32 KB

L2 Cache: 2 MB

Packaging: Inconnu

EIST: Yes

MMX: Yes

SIMD: Yes

SIMD2: Yes

SIMD3: Yes

Enhanced Halt State: No

Execute Disable Bit: Yes

Hyper-Threading Technology: No

Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology: No

Intel® Virtualization Technology: Yes

Reported Processor Frequency: 2.11 GHz

Reported System Bus Frequency: 706 MHz

*************************************************************

So it has Virtualization and run 0,11 GHz and 40MHz better than expected (2.0/667). Also the utility report that this is a test model and not a production model.

In French:

"Le processeur Intel® testé semble être un test de conception et non un modèle de production. Cet utilitaire est conçu pour les processeurs Intel de production uniquement. Les processeurs tests ne sont pas garantis par Intel et ne sont pas destinés à la vente.

Si cette information diffère de ce qui était prévu, contactez le fabricant du système ou le revendeur auprès duquel vous vous êtes procuré le processeur."

So have you the same results ?

EDIT: The 2 cores are identifiede by the utility but only one is indicated in the txt report that i have past.
