TheG33k
Thank you AlainTox714! It works perfect on my BadAxe2
jimmyvau
This is awesome. I'm glad to finally have proper on board audio support. It sounds so much better than my Logitech USB audio adapter. I have confirmed that v7 works under 10.5.7 with vanilla kernel.
smileyint
Many thanks to AlainTox714. Just had mic working on my BadAxe2 which is the last component missing since for me. Now gotta figure out the dual booting issues...
timewise
I lost my third analog output after chameleon 2.0 rc2 and 10.5.8 update. I get line out, headphone out and digital output. Maybe that is all i ever had. LOL Oh yeah I switched from dsmos.kext to appledecrypt.kext and put it and dsdt.aml in chameleons extra folder. I only have the two kexts from this thread and natit in S/L/E. Thanks
timewise
If I use these settings I get rear green and front headphone to output at the same time. If I select Line Out I only get sound from the rear orange. Is this right?

cwestpha
Could you create a patch for Snow leopard? Whenever I use this Kext or any other Leopard/tiger kexts for this audio under snowy I get a kernel panic. I know it is trying to load and it does correctly detect the hardware, but when it loads or tries to use a dependency it always panics. Next step for me will be to patch the latest AppleHDA.kext 10.5.5, as i have understood how STA9274D Codec works.
Shaveblog
Hear hear! Another request to make this SL-compatible. I used these kexts to enable perfect onboard audio on my BadAxe2 under 10.5.8, but SL doesn't "see" them and so no onboard audio. I'm currently using voodoohda.kext just to get stereo analog putput, but it's a half-baked hack, not a real driver for this board. So if anyone can make this work for SL, I will name my next child after you. Could you create a patch for Snow leopard? wlan_master_29
I am having no luck at all with getting sound to work on my Bad Axe 2 Actually my bad axe 2 is a S975xbx2 but has the same hardware only difference is the ram slots on the board, being how mine is a server board my current setup is Leopard 10.5.8 Retail, running flawlessly except cant get sound working. Here is a linux codec dump for my sound SigmaTel_STAC9227.txt It looks to be the exact same as D975xbx2 Please help me get sound working for this board it is the only thing holding my system back from being 100% working. Thanks.
