nuts-
Hi, how did you succeed using your uad1 pciE , please ? I'm under Kalyway 10.5.4, gigabyte p35ds4, Q6600 ,nvidia 8800GT. I successfully installed the UAD1 with v5.02 software, in the control panel the plugins i bought are marked authorized but... When i click UAD Meter/control panel, a message says: "settings can only be changed from user account privileges. The current account does not have sufficient privileges.Any settings changes made will not be saved." In fact when i run UAD plugins in Logic 8.0.2 or Kore2 2.04 they are not usable, exactlly like if not authorized. What to do here ? I verified in system preferences > account and i'm actually running admin account. I did not understand how to change ROOT password and connect as ROOT, and i'm not sure it is the way i must follow ? Please help, thanx. EDIT: someone just told me to repare disks authorizations, and now it runs, i just had to authorize one more time the plugins. naluvs01
Running 2 UAD-1 PCI, 1 Duende PCIe and Powercore Firewire. Works like a charm on a Asus P5K MoBo. How did you get your cards to work? I just built my first hackintosh following lifehackers guide and my 2 uad1 cards are not showing in the system profiler. I installed the software and it states that no cards are found. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

jbomba
im running liquid mix 16 on my retail install with no probs. Was just a bit of a mission finding a cheap texas instruments pci firewire card in my country. I hear people are having trouble trying to run it on other chipsets. Ive been really impressed with my hackintosh. Things were a bit unstable on iatkos s3 but as soon as i did a retail install following ridgel1nes guide i havnt had one problem. With iatkos alot of native instruments plugins were a bit dodgey in logic. With battery 3 i couldnt right click without logic crashing. I guess iatkos installed alot of unnecessary stuff, anyway working just as good as a real mac! Time to do a Backup i cant go through installing kontakt 5 again it takes like 4 hours My Specs: Motherboard - Gigabyte G41m-es2l CPU - Q8400 Soundcard - Alesis io2 DSP - Liquid Mix 16 Midi - M-audio oxygen
