supermx3
there is no kext for the 4500, people have tried the x3100 kext, the hardware is not the same, like i said above, there probably wont ever be support for it since apple doesnt use integrated intel graphics any more

philnance
My notebook Acer 4730z installation ok using ideneb 1.4 only problem 1. soundcard not sure which model 2. wifi also not sure whihc model shamxxx, I have the same notebook and also installed with ideneb. You wont have any luck with the atheros card... I purchased a broadcom 4311 on ebay for 12 bucks and free shipping and it runs native. For sound use the ALC883 package here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=36520. Good luck!

BirdRacer
NOT working. Still running in safe mode with a non-standard VESA resolution. No CI/QE support, no actual driver released. I understand. I don't game, and I now have 1280x800 where I could only have 1024x768 before. It's better for me. It DOES work, if you simply want 1280x800.
