L EphIno
Hey I just wanted to remind all you dual booters out there, just cause we are on macs doesn't mean you can't get a virus anymore!!! Lol don't forget after you install xp to do the normal installs of spybot, adaware, maybe bitdefender for a free av. The spoils of not having to worry about viruses and spyware are no more
Colonel
I keep my Mac "Windows Free" for that very reason.
Faustus
I like AVG for a free Virus scanner. Nice and doesn't get in the way.
chiefsalami
I may have to give something else a try. Lately Norton REALLY gets in the way... initial scans every time you log in, automatic scans unless you disable them, etc. It's really getting annoying these days. ClamXavMan
This is precisely why I have no intention of installing HFS+ drivers in Windoze. If someone wants access to my files on the Mac side, they're going to have to try damned hard to get them.
L EphIno
For you guys that are looking for a new virus scanner I highly recommend bitdefender. They do have a free version that does not run active scans. You manually have to tell it to scan or you can specify a scan sched. It's a great program with almost no reasources being used. On top of that it's rated as the second best av right now, second to only pc shield. Here is the link for it: Bitdefender 8 Free Edition
