crazymacl Posted September 23, 2008 Share Posted September 23, 2008 I have kalyway upgraded to 10.5.5 and everything is working fine except my video card. I noticed that when its going to graphics mode, my system freezes for 5-8 minutes and then continues... The last message I see in console is "Interfacenamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce" But after that time, everything is loaded up and working... I tried many things like editing the plist.info of (NVinject.kext, Geforce.kext (ID was already in there), NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV40.kext), tried another drivers... nothing worked for me. I didn't try GFX Strings (can't find info about it with this card). Does anybody have the XFX Geforce 7950 GX2 1 GB card working on 10.5.5? Can you please help me? Thanks! crazymacl Posted September 24, 2008 Author Share Posted September 24, 2008 I got it working with Ironfly kexts from another post. I just copied the Nvinject.kext, NVDAResman.kext and NVDANV40.kext.
