Look, people, the 7150 is not the 6150. Period. It's got a similar number but other than that its different technology. You can't apply the 6150 findings to this chipset. You just need to wait for some real development on the 7150 to take place which MIGHT not happen unfortunately for us.

I too have the same card on a dv6645us. I'm doing a clone install and I've tried all the new kext's on Leo4All 4.1.

Right now I'm using NVKush, but yeah no resolution change. I want to use osx86tools to change it there but I'd rather not risk breaking my install.

Somebody please make a .kext for people with this card! I recieved this computer as a birthday gift about a year ago (10/10/07) and I'm rather fond of it. "Thanks mom!"

Since the week I got it I've been trying to get osx86 native.

I've finally succeeded with Leo4All. Everything on this machine works except graphics/fan speed. (thanks to the people of the entire osx86 scene,no less) The latest distro's are becomming more and more functional.

So I still have faith that somebody can help us; having these particular cards. Is there a way we can just adjust our screen resolutions to be 1280x800 w/o QE/CI??? C'MON!!

I don't understand why if the new MacBooks use shared memory cards, then shouldn't there be a way to use the kexts files from a Macbook and the then insert either efi strings or inject the dev. id into to proper kexts. Such is hacking.

People that have the newer Intel video (x4500 or 4500HD) doesn't have support too. And they founded a way to bypass this problem. I think the same strategy could work with our cards (mine is 7000M).

The solution used for that Intel video is to change in BIOS the reported resolutions to include the native resolution of their monitors.

We need someone to create a patch based on 915resolution to nvidia's chipset.
