Swad
Since it's obviously quite popular right now, should we make Dual Booting a main page (non subforum) forum? If so, should it remain exclusively for Macintels? What would be a good name to make sure people know that it's just for Macs, and that OSx86 Dual Booting discussion goes elsewhere? If we blend the two, it could get tricky to distinguish the posts. I'm leaning toward this option right now but, as always, wanted your input! Hmm, now that we can actually get somewhere with dual booting on Intel Macs, maybe it should be a Main Page.

Swad
Ok, this thread didn't get much viewage, but based on the response here and on IRC I went ahead and made it its own forum! Enjoy!
powrslave
it's confusing i wanted to read about dual booting exclusively on vanilla PC's not xp and vista on a MacIntel The PC Forum Apple, meet the PC. This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Subforums: OSx86 Installation, Patches and Tweaks, Darwin,Dual Booting
Swad
The problem is that if we mix the two, it'll get even more confusing. It would also be a little confusing to have two "Dual Booting" forums, would it not? I can just see some users getting freaked out by that. powrslave
I disagree totally. You are favoring MacIntel by creating a root forum that is (from the posts) filled mostly with win on mac posts... It even states ---Dedicated to Mac-Windows integration-- See: Mac Dual Booting Dedicated to Mac-Windows integration Actually, it doesn't make sense to have an entire root forum called mac dual booting because it doesn't effectivly divide the real macs from the vanilla pc's/ Unless this is some sort of way to avoid labeling it WInonMac (avoiding the winonmac buzzword) *There is no PC-MAC dedication forum to dualboot A better way would to simply add a dual boot child under The Mac forum. Whatever you decide to do is fine...but I think my logic is solid. note: there's even a dual boot post in the genius bar. --suggested layout-- The Mac Forum The insanely great computer, the Mac. Now with Intel flavors. Subforums: WinonMac, Vista, Dual booting The PC Forum Apple, meet the PC. This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
