HP DV6000 F.29 BIOS whitelist patched

All HP DV6000 users, the newest BIOS version has been patched. I had recently patched the F.58A version which is for the DV9000 series (My system) and it works flawless. Same technique used here to stop the whitelist. You can put any wireless card you would like into your system after you flash. Enjoy! :(

The DV9000 and DV6000 are really the easiest BIOS to patch. Ive patched the F.58A for the DV9000 and the F.29 for the DV6000 was IDENTICAL in the whitelist aspect for the F.58A. But still I would always stress knowing how to do phoenix crisis recovery and to verify that it works with your system. I am going to do some screen shots in comparison for the patched F.58A and the unpatched F.29 to show what is done. And hopefully some one can confirm with their system.

 

i got HP 6114tx laptop but i am scared to test this, and want it badly. :censored2: anyone else to confirm?

i have a dv6810us and current bios version is F.30 i know you just posted F.29 but i'm not sure i wana take the chance of bricking my bios. i don't have a floppy drive nore can i get access to one. i would love to get wireless working with osx but i'd feel better knowing that someone has done this successfully before i make the attempt

I am working on the F.30. I have someone right now going to test a patched F.30 for an AMD system. Will post back whether it is successful or not

Would you like the Mac apple logo on a patched F.29 bios? Let me know, or if you have a image yourself, upload and I can add it into a patched F.29 for you. Most small jpegs will be accepted by phoenix bios edit.

 

I am using an Atheros AR5BXB72 wifi card. In windows it is recognized as a AR5008X ... genuine apple wifi card

LRZRAGE is it possible you can patch the new F.3D bios thats up on the hp site for a dv6355ca? as well as, how did you manage to get a different picture on bootup?

 

F.3D probably cannot be patched to allow any wifi card but what can be done is add in the ven dev subsys of the card you would like to use. I have been able to do that for an AMD user.

What about hp dv6305us with AMD processor? My wireless card disappeared and I'm looking for a good bios. It looks like troubles with wireless card are common issue with dv6000 series of HP laptops. The last bios released by HP tech is F.3D. I have xp and ubuntu installed, recovery partition and all disk was erased (zero formatting) before installing them.

Can your version of bios help in resolving that wireless problem?

Sorry to sound like such a noob, but when you say "All HP DV6000 users" do you include machines running Vista 32? I've been wanting to correct this ridiculous HP bios goof for months on my dv6103nr, but I don't want to brick my nice cheap laptop. I realize this forum is supposed to be for people that run OSX on intel/amd pc's. Logically it shouldn't matter what OS you're running when you apply a BIOS patch, but I'd like to be sure before I proceed.

Mr LRZRage, Can this modded F29 Bios work for Intel-Wifi-Link-5300AGN-802-11N-3X3-MIMO-Wireless-Card on my dv6205t ?

i want to purchase this wifi card but not sure whether will face 104 error for non supported wifi card....

 

Any way, do u have modded bios for F16 ??

I have the HP DV6807US which has the AMD Turion 64x2 (TL-60, I believe). Has the BIOS hack come out for that one yet? I noticed in your messages that one was being worked on.

 

Do you know what exactly what was being changed? Has a patched BIOS come out which allows access to the SATA drive functions? One that allows you to DISABLE NATIVE SATA SUPPORT?

 

I have tried 5 differnt version of the OSx86 softwares for AMD processors. All of them will boot up, but none of them will see my HDD.
