Hello Guys,

I need your help, I want to develop iPhone applications so

1)I've installed a mac OS x (OSX86) based OS on my HP, and updated it to 10.5.3 now the Xcode works just fine with the iPhone SDK

2)I'm going to Buy an iPhone with an OS version of 1.1.4, BUT IT WILL COST ME A LOT.

so I want to know will there be any Burdens that I'll encounter in the developing process?, how will I deploy on the iPhone, I don't want to pay the annoying $99 for developer certificates, and do I have to Upgrade the OS version to the latest?

What do I have to do ?? please elaborate

Thnx again guys

You have to pay the $99 per year dev fee, and you must be on firmware version 2.0 or higher to use any SDK apps. Also, most jailbroken apps are being ported/developed for 2.0 and higher, if you stay on 1.1.4 you wont be able to keep up on anything.

If it's going to cost you so much more to buy a 1.1.4 iPhone, why not get a 2.0 iPhone and pay the $99 with the money you saved?

Seriously, 1.1.4 might have been better, but it's dead. Your potential for reaching out to people is literally sliced into about 1/1000th of the normal client base. Any sensible programmer would not make a decision like that.
