Hi all,

Recently I installed leopard on my T61 and liked it very much but this QE/CI support is bugging me, so after long investigations online it was obvious that till now there is no working solution. So I decided to spare some time for this and dig as deep as I can to reach to a solution, here is where I need your guidance in understanding the problem and planning the way to solve it.

So first of all can you please update me if anybody succeeded to find a solution for this Quadro cards on T61?

Actually while investigating about this issue I was a little bit confused about the real cause of the problem because some people are telling that finding the right NVCAP value is enough to solve the problem, others saying you need to reflash the bios with a modified version, also others say that device ID not directing to the right renderer. So anybody can give me some suggestions about from where to start and what is the real problem?

My Hardware is:

T61 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo 3GB Ram

Nvidia Quadro NVS140M 128M Ram,

I tried the following Versions:

Kalyway 10.5.1 (vanilla kernel)

iATKOS v4i (vanilla)

iDeneb 10.5.4

My background is java programming and some C++ and .NET. and I am willing to spend the time and effort required to solve this.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if I can help nvinject project to solve this?

Kindest regards

Alexan

hi, all.

I think the key is different between thinkpad nvs140m and dell nvs140m.maybe in bios.

if kytzu is right , what make dell being detected correct, but thinkpad's being detected wrong. this is interesting.

anyone knows some guy from NVidia? in such case, internal information will help a lot. If we cannot solve it in techical, then try the social way...
