P5K-VM Alternatives

I built my first Hackintosh for a buddy a few months back. We built it with a P5K-VM board, nvidia 7300, and an E8400 processor. All is working well with the machine. In fact it has been running flawlessly. I am now ready to build one for myself. I am going to be using my old HP case so the P5K-VM will be perfect as the case only supports micro atx boards.

I am ready to buy right now however, I am concerned about SATA ports 3 & 4 not working. We were never able to get them to work. Also this board is over 6 months old now and there has to be something newer or better out (maybe not?). I have two SATA hard drives and an SATA DVD drive that I want to run. Does anyone have a good alternative to this board? It has to have firewire, minimum of 4 SATA ports, a PCI-e for my X1900GT, and relative ease of installing OSX (vanilla 10.5.2). I have had amazing support from Asus in the past, but I am open to other brands.

I looked through the Wiki, however it seems outdated.

Update:

I am looking at the Intel G31PR and running it with this firewire card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815124032). However I notice that the Intel board runs 800MHz RAM and not the new 1066MHz or 1333MHz RAM standards. Will I notice any significant speed differences with the 800MHz RAM?

Update 2:

Ok I have ruled out the G31PR. It only has two DIMM slots. I want the ability to do 8GB of RAM if I want. 4x 1GB are really cheap right now, about 20 dollars per gigabyte. I really need to find a work around for the P5K-VM Sata, or go to a full sized board and case.

Update 3:

I just put Kalyway 10.5.2 on my buddies computer and sata3 and 4 work. I am going to buy this board.
