Your Hackintosh kind of looks like this Apple Clone Seller Company. letfeardomring
@macciti - looking for something a little more robust... @BOL_fan - closer... but i am still looking for a little more computer... we'll talk
~pcwiz
@macciti - looking for something a little more robust... @BOL_fan - closer... but i am still looking for a little more computer... we'll talk Sorry to butt in, but macciti's computer is robust enough for your needs. Gigabyte EP35 with a Core 2 Duo? That will be great for your purposes. Corsair RAM is very robust, the only thing I would change is that machine is the hard drive which doesn't sound great quality, but everything else is good quality stuff. Why macciti would want to sell that hackintosh I don't know, but it will certainly be a good machine for you
mifki
a c2d for video editing? good luck lol
urgonah8me
c2d is more than enough for video editing.. infact most video editing software thats new optimises and uses 2 cores these days... very rare that any program utilises all 4 cores if you wonna go quad. I did video editing on Emacs at college and sometimes if i was lucky enough to snab one.. an old imac dual core 1.8's so if I could do it on them (I must say they wernt very great.... but that was also to do with the crappy network) A new revision and a better mobo could easily handle that stuff
i*C
yes, you are right pcwiz!!! would be a mistake selling mine... i should just wait a little and buy some quad core processor or something

poopmonkey
Why not just build one?
letfeardomring
Why not just build one? i probably will. i was kind of waiting, and hoping for some people to respond to my post about recommendations: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=123580 however, in the mean time if someone were selling their build and it was close to what i want, then that would help us both. poopmonkey
I would still invest in a Quad-Core processor to future proof your build a bit more. Also, do not go too light with the ram, because video editing likes to have at least 2GB of ram.
