toprakartu Posted August 22, 2008 Share Posted August 22, 2008 While using OS X, i saved a web page as html with firefox (mac), i had to read it in windows xp since it was a walkthrough, i opened parallels, dragged the html to XP desktop, turned off XP, quit parallels. Then, i choose windows as the start up disk, and in windows i right-clicked the documnt to open. However firefox (windows) didnt start for like 3-5 minutes or so, then it did. Since then firefox in windows take forever to start, sometimes it doesnt at all. i tried uninstalling and re-installing both firefox and parallels, i deleteted the left-over windows parallel files, after re-installing parallels i tried switching all smart select options to window's firefox. None of the above worked. Now, even if i boot in from windows with parallels uninstalled and deleted, firefox downloaded from the net, it wont run, or it will load the first browser in like 10 minutes or so. This drives me mad since İE 7 is lame and safari is very buggy in windows. i also use some add ons. i even tried installing firefox v2. and it wont work too! i tried norton utilities and repairing windows, that didnt work too.
