Hi, i'm currently building myself a hackintosh to take with me to school this September. I've picked out all of the hardware for it except for the graphics card. I'm looking for a sub $100 graphics card (can be a little more) which can handle video editing and blu ray playback but is also easy to install under leopard. I am not interested in gaming of any sort so it does'nt need to be an "amazing" performer in games, just good enough to handle casual video editing and display HD videos.

I considered the HD 2600 Pro and XT cards but not clear on whether they are easy to install. I've also been looking at the ATI HD 3650 and HD 3850 which I can get for around $90, but have read about people getting the white menu problem? Also looking at the Nvidia 8800gt which I can get for a little over a $100.

Which one would be a) the easiest to install and getting running (with QE and CI) and :P better in your opinion considering I don't want to play games save a bit of cash.

Is ATI better than nVidia for osx86?

Thanks,

Tom
