Hi, ive just got an installation of Iatkos 4.0 installed on my computer and it runs fine on the intel graphics card integrated into my motherboard, but when I install it with my saphire radeon x1650 agp card it boots with a blue backgrond and a cursor on the screen. The only way I can see the normal screen (ie the dock and the menu bar) is if I press the power button on my PC to put it to sleep, and then wake it up again, the it works properly, although not as well as with the integrated intel graphics card. The reason I want to make this card work is because i eventually want to dual boot Iatkos with windows, and cant keep pulling my graphics card out every time I want to make the switch!

Any help will be greatly appreciated, my specs are below.

Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHz SSE3

768mb DDR Ram

Graphics Cards listed above

ASRock P4i65g Motherboard

Hi I have an Saphire Raneon 9600SE AGP which I am using with Kalyway. When I done my install with Kalyway I initially selected the ATI drivers and it did not work. I done a clean install and this time I did not select any video drivers and it worked fine, even the DVI.

Maybe if you selected ATI drivers during your nstall you could try doing a fresh install and not selecting any video drivers and maybe that will work for you to. If not then try looking for a kext for you Saphire card and install that useing kext helper which is the easiest way of installing kext files. Sorry I dont have a link for kext helper, just Google it. It is a free download.

Hope this helps you out.

Hello, I have installed iAtkos 4.0i myself on:

Intel Celeron D 3.2 GHz SSE3

2.0 GB DDRII Ram

ATI Radeon X1650 AGP 256MB Ram

ASRock 775 Dual VSTA Motherboard

I am able to boot Leopard 10.5.4 with 1024X768 resolution only. Ehternet works, audio works, DVD read and CD-RW supported. USB and Firwire also working. I have tried Jas 10.5.4 Leopard for Intel PC's, iDeneb 10.5.4 and iAtkos 4.0i. All of these versions have an ATI driver for AGP cards that are X1600 series but none of them have worked for me if selected in customization screen or post OSX installation using Kext Helper. there are many references to ATI Radeon X1650 AGP, but most of them apply to OSX Tiger, the only time I have seen it referenced for OSX Leopard is if it's PCI-E version. I am still hunting and will post any findings, hopefully you will keep me in mind if you find something that works.

I am also looking to dual boot Leopard and Vista, please detail what customization options you selected to get it partially working. I might be wrong but from what you wrote it seems that you have some functionality from your graphics card. When I select the ATI AGP drivers for the X1600 series, my PC goes into a continuous reboot that never ends? Any suggestions?

Best regards,

TECHNIQ
