hi guys, i've got an 8800gtx with Nvinject 0.2.1 and recently a problem has developed. if i don't start my system in verbose mode (-v) or safe mode the system will start up but as soon as its finished loading my monitor turns off, with verbose mode the system will start up fine but i don't get quartz extreme, i've tried reinstalling nvinject but this hasn't helped, anyone any ideas? i'm running 10.5.4 vanilla kernel

i tried using nvkush but that kept failing when i modified the plist to 768mb vram, i've now moved onto a efi graphic string but i'm still having problems, if i try to boot up normally it still goes turns the monitor of though if i start up with -v i can get onto the system and under the profiler it says :

Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX [G80]:

Chipset Model: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX [G80]

Type: Display

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 768 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0191

Revision ID: 0x00a2

ROM Revision: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX [G80] OpenGL Engine [EFI]

Displays:

EM-175:

Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Hardware Accelerated

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Supported

Rotation: Supported

Display Connector:

Status: No display connected

which would imply that it should work, though i can clearly see that the UI isn't hardware accelerated though it claims to be so, anyone any ideas?

Im experiencing the same problem on my new GA-Ep45-DS4P mobo with my 8800GTX 768MB card. Worked fine on my previous 680i mobo but as soon as i use efi studio of nvkush to update my driver i just get a blank screen when th os trys to load the desktop.

i found a fix for the problem, search for the drivers from the 10.5.5 beta 9f9 seed, this is working for me with an efi string.

Are you guys using netkas' EFI or Chameleon?

My 8800GTX efi string worked perfectly with my 10.5.4 installation using EFI. Just did a clean install with Chameleon and the same efi string no long works.

I'll have to do some checking to see if this is indeed related.
