I think you mean the so called "whitemenue problem" no text within menues and also some windows.

You can compare it with the screenshoot below (white menue problem).

You can try my ATI 3850 set, ( its in the same forum section.

PS: Working for me with MSI ATI 3850 and 10.5.4.

Screenshot showing that problem, using newest drivers (1.5.28). Switching QE of (with Quartz Debug) fixes the whitemenue problem but without QE OS X is slow. Hope sometime fixes 1.5.28 drivers (ATIRADEON2000.KEXT and ATIRADEONGL.KEXT are 1.5.24, the Rest 1.5.28).

The drivers should run with 10.5.2 !

Simple backup your orig. files before you install this set. You have only backup that files within the set.

Use the Kext Install Helper (within the set) to install the drivers.

If you get problems (screenproblems) , boot with F8, kernel flag -x that gives an save boot.

YEAH !

But it uses the same old (1.5.24) drivers as known to work.

The drivers are STAND OS X 10.5.2, not 10.5.4 !!!

Now 1.5.28 are new - but cant used any way (until someone patches druver code, not only inject something).

And in the new 10.5.5 Dev Version its 10.5.30 !

Driverupdates for Videocard are essential, especially for newer cards (doesnt matter for ATI 9600, but for 2600Xt and 3870 too)

Without a way for stay updated with gpu drivers i will sell my 3850 and go back to the 2600XT, which runs with native (unpatched) drivers.
