anarki417
i also can't get my alc888 hd audio on a msi p43 mobo to work, tried all drivers, is it possible that the hdmi audio on my hd4850 vidcard is causing the problem?

WAYTOHELL
Hi,My laptop is an Asus M50SV and i have an ALC888 working (almost) perfectly. I don't know if it's because of the specificity of my laptop but may be you can have a look there : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=118625 I say almost perfectly because internal speakers work, headphones output, microphone. But for example when i start a to listen a music, it makes noise like if my audio cable wasn't well plugged (during 1 sec may be) So let me know if this works for you WoW, worked for my ALC888 on EP43-DS3L mobo, thank you so much! PolarAstronaut
Realtek ALC888 here also on a GA-EP35-DS3L mobo.. Everything working great except NO audio. Any updates on this> I saw this solution in another thread. I have an EP35-DS3L too and I was having similar problems. I would install the kexts and would get Line Out sound, but it would be gone when I rebooted. I looked around earlier this morning and found that thread while at class. I just tried it and the kexts in the link worked great for me and now I have Line Out, Digital Out, Headphones and Internal Speaker for outputs. (optical SPDIF works, don't know about coaxial) All inputs are listed, too, and microphone jack is working.
