Ok, this is going to sound strange..... But after weeks of trying to get the disk to install i accidently came across a mixed culmination of stuff...

1st: When I say install , i mean to just start to install.

2nd: Im using Leopard 10.4.2 AMD EFI rev2

3rd: **Your going to need a...

(a) Usb Keyboard

(:( External Dvd Player

© External Usb Harddrive (A flash disk, thumb drive may work)

*This laptop does not boot from external DVD player, but it does boot from external USB .

4th: Set laptop to boot from everything 1st and the Harddrive last (excluding the networkboot)

5th: Plug in everything, and make 2 copies of the ISO-Disk, and place them in both drives.

6th: boot computer up.

7th: At the disk boot startup> Hit enter then quickly unplug the Usb Harddrive and DVD drive.

8th: wait about 5-6 mins, and it will get to the install screen. (EVERYTIME)

9th: Install using everyones normal procedures.

YEAH!!!!

Here's the update.........

It installed fine, and everything is working (biult in wireless is detected, but not connecting/finding any essid's)

Here's the down side. Its still doin the same thing as the install disk. When I start /reboot the computer I have to plug in a usb harddisk right when the boot loader starts up then hit ENTER then unplug the drive (note: unplugging the drive isnt really nessessary, but sometimes it hangs if you dont.)

****ALSO this was tried with a thumb/flash drive (USB), it works in place of the harddrive.

**Ill keep you posted.. **Also note the sound and webcam and keyboard and mouse worked on install. But I did have a few kexts show up as error boxes (not installed); under applications their is a auto installer, so I ran that and it re-installed it.

You dont understand, i have downloaded about 6 of the newest ISO's for AMD's (including Kalaways), and on my dv9225, not one would boot past the boot screen, they all said they could not find the startup/boot files. It still does it now, i have to place a usb harddrive in the computer and plug it in at the moment the laptop boots(wont work if plugged in b4 turning on), to get it to see the sata HD, same as the biult in sata DVDrom. Ive asked for help many times on many forums, but NO ONE would reply with anything and I was very explicit. But yeah its up and running but I can only boot it by plugging in a usb harddrive at the boot screen. Its not the laptop in general either, it will boot/install all forms of linux and windows as such not one problem ever. I did here about 1 guy with my laptop that said he had mac installing fine until he upgraded the Bios and since it has trouble seing the hfs file system now for booting up. And my laptop was upgraded(bios) when the new one came out. I have considered down grading, but its not on the HP site, and to search else where for it seems dangerous. But if you have any insite please drop me a line or reply. Also I cant seem to get the wireless to work or ethernet, it seems both and says their working, but NO essid's on wireless, and no connection on wired..

BUT IT IS FAST>>>!!! :hysterical:
