Karo
Last week I received my new iPhone 3G It works flawlessly and I have a lot of fun with it but one thing is bothering me. Everytime I connect the iPhone to my mac or the charger (or even connect the usb cable to the iPhone without putting the USB connector in the computer) my home button doesn't work?!? I phoned the appleStore but they put me on hold for a long time and I didn't get any answer, I mailed them but that didn't help either. So now I am wondering if this is normal or not? It seems a bit weird, every time I use an application while charging/syncing I can't get out of the application because the home button doesn't work. Can anybody enlighten me? Berzerker
Set up an appointment with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, they'll know what to do.
Karo
Thanks Berzerker for the reply. In between I also received a reply from Apple, saying that is is normal that the home button doesn't work while syncing but otherwise it should work. So my Home button is officially broken
Berzerker
If the phone says "Sync in Progress," then it's not supposed to work, because you're not supposed to be able to do anything with the phone...otherwise, even if it's plugged in, it should work...like if you're an App.
Karo
Indeed Berzerker, that's exactly what Apple said. So since yesterday my iPhone is under repair... Hopefully it will be back soon, I was just getting used to the luxury
