so do i, im on the hunt for a black case. too bad the company website is in korean....

Only a couple of things though,

You'd have to find a mATX board that'll fit inside(although it doesn't look all that tiny), and a dvd drive for it, other than that, it would make a great Mac Mini clone with the right hardware.

not a problem for me, i already have 3 mini-itx mobo's.

some new intel mobos in mini-itx are (if you are in the hunt) :

intel d945gclf w/ intel atom 230 (single core) : gma950 - $70

intel d945gclf2 w/ intel atom 330 (dual core) : gma950 - $90 (not out yet)

intel dg45fc : socket 775 fsb 1333 (core2duo's supported only not the core2quads), ddr2800 mem standard (upto 4gb), gmaX4500 - $130 (not out til aug 8th)

it takes a slim dvd drive just like the mini altho it is a bit bigger since the mini-itx size. the case is about 8.8 inches square.

it also has a tiny 40mm fan on the back left if you look at the red case.

all in all for a little over $200, the ripple mini chocolate is not a bad setup at all, even if we do have to get it at that price just to beef up the guts :)

The case is O..K... I mean, it looks a little cheap to be honest, and the logo is too damn big - especially on the red and silver ones.... The black one is all right though

I wouldn't mind one of these to be honest, but I doubt these things are going to leave Asia, before suffering some form of lawsuit from Apple or something lol... why the hell couldn't they pick another name rather than Ripple!?

Thread revival...

Are there any Korean Hackintosh Protege can get me a couple of these chocolate to chew on?

I am only looking to do light work on them, so Atom processor is fine. Wonder if it's upgradable to core 2 duo

and 2GB of RAM.

My only concern is the power supply.

Amazing sense of humour - a bit like a 7 year old in a playground (even the fact that you don't punctuate!). Probably why you haven't matured enough yet, to realise that a fake Mac mini ISN'T a Mac mini... but then you know best.

It doesn't look like a Mac mini. It looks like a Mac mini that some 15 year old tried to make in his basement.

Haha so true - and looks like he went colour-blind in the process.

You can make as many 'smart' comments as you like, but the bottom line is that people with taste and just a modicum of common sense, buy a REAL Mac. Maybe you can fool your equally ignorant friends into thinking you're clever to have not paid for a real Mac, but at the end of the day you'll KNOW it's a knock off, and not even a vaguely good one at that!.

As Guy Kawasaki says in "Welcome to Macintosh", about PeeCee designers; 'They just don't know which bit to steal!'. So true :)

I remember when trolling meant something.

Dammit guys. I only asked a simple question. If you don't have any response specific to my question, then I'd rather you not respond.

Whether it was a knocked off is irrelevant to my request for info.

I recall when having a REAL Mac used to mean something... oh look, it still does :)

Why exactly are you in the InsanelyMac board? Having a Mac only means that you have some money left. They are great, and I say that using my own Mac, but no, you cannot BUY style.
