hecker Posted July 21, 2008 Share Posted July 21, 2008 You could bypass the temperature sensor unit by bridging the connection on both ends (on PCs, it's usually a little element that looks like a resistor placed in the heat sink). Another thing you could do is add a big silent fan to your case or buy yourself a fan regulating unit. This is obviously not an option for laptops though. Controlling the fan's speed via software is hardware dependent. I know of an application called smcFanControl to control the fans of real macs but I haven't seen anything similar for hacks yet.
