I know its supposed to support QE etc. Now am i being stupid, can you use QE in vmware In graphics card info it says no kext loaded, how do i load it, in english, PLAIN and simple Could this cause problems native booting, it boots but no gui. benjaminries Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Dude, I'm pretty sure that VMware creates a virtual machine... and that means a virtual video card, too. So it doesn't matter what your real video card is; all you get under VMware is a VESA 3.0 compatible display. No sense trying to get OS X to recognize your ATI card, because it can't "see" the ATI card (unless you run native). So, no QE under VMware, period. p.s.: VMware extensions can be installed on more conventional x86 operating systems (Win, linux, OS/2) that include specific drivers for the virtual graphics system, including limited acceleration... it would be sweet if they released a similar package for OS x86, but don't count on it.
