HD goes to sleep with sleep disabled

I have 3 SATA hard drives in my box. Two are used for storage and other {censored}. The other is my boot/OS drive.

The "OS" drive keeps going to sleep even though I have unchecked the "Put HD to sleep" box.

So when this HD goes to sleep, my computer just freezes. If I try to run an application from this drive, it just locks up and I get the wonderful spinning pinwheel.

Why is only this drive going to sleep? Is there any way to stop this? Is OS X causing this? If it is, then this will become an opensuse box real fast.

I have to reboot my box 10 times a day just to do anything. It's getting old fast.

Thanks!?
