I've T61p (6459-cto). This is a awesome machine and would like to see Leopard running

on this flawlessly.. The major problem seems to be FX570M.

I must have installed Leopard (iaktos, deneb, kalyaway and finally retail) countless

times and every time tried different tweaks (nvinject, nvkush, natit, titan, efi etc).

Only nvinject for G80 series was able to properly display "G84 Quadro FX 570M".

Beyond that no QE. So, I couldn't use Aperture etc...

I'm not really sure why FX570 doesn't work. On Windows XP, even the setup program

from nvidia (for fx570) fails to install for some reason.

Anyway, after trying different tools, I finally managed to get a dump of its ROM.

NBiTor seems to be happy when I tried to open the ROM image I saved. It displays

some of the settings correctly. I don't know how to verify other settings...

What is the possibility of getting this working (enable QE) on leopard given that

I've a ROM image?

I plan to change the device id to the device id of 8600M GT.. I'm just afraid that

it (attempt to change it) might screw up and I will endup having dead machine..

thats what stopping me right now...

Some people got this working on HP notebooks. So far, no luck on T61p.

NVDAResman.kext causes some issues (blackscreen or hang) when I tried

various solutions (efi, nvinject, nvkush etc).

Also, on T61p,

1. the bootloader (latest pcefi) during boot doesn't report correct NVRAM. It

says 14MB! I've a PC which has 6600GT. On this machine, the same bootloader

reports correct NVRAM.

I think this needs to be resolved?

The NBiTor (NVIDIA BIOS Editor) tool which supposedly can work with all nvidia cards

hangs (on XP) when I attempted to read the VGA BIOS. However, another similar

tool worked fine..

These issues are bothering me. I tried a NVCAP value generated by NVCAP Maker from

the VGA BIOS dump I got from the card. No luck. (NVDAResman hangs).
