Interesting 2 & 4-Drive SCSI Benchmarks

OK, not too long ago I bought an LSI 21320-R SCSI PCI-X controller off eBay. Great controller for Hacks - bootable, RAID, etc.

Via eBay I have also have emassed 6 re-manufactured Fujitsu MAU3073NC 73GB SCSI hard drives for dirt cheap. I decided to test up to 4 of these

drives today. Keep in mind the PCI-X controller is running only in a 33MHz PCI slot, since my mobo doesn't have a PCI-X slot.

One thing that surprised me - I was able to use Apple's RAID built into 10.5.4. I am not able to do this with any SATA HDDs.

I used QuickBench 4 to run the tests.
