BusError
Hmm so, a skilled experienced developer willing to be paid £25/h instead of £80/h for doing.... development... hmmm highly tempting ! ;-)
solaar
Just to sum it up, this is a lecturer position, not a developer position. I've been giving IT training in the past (and that was 'only' functional ERP training to end users). I can confirm that it can be extremely draining and stressful. Not only but especially when you have a clause in your contract that stipulates a reduction or even total refusal of salary for courses where participants were dissatisfied and demand a refund. I've seen situations where the lecturer was not even at fault, eg. system or network crash, poor test data, slow system etc. Then you sometimes have those clients that send out their 'Mr Know-it-all' who will make attempts to take you apart in front of everybody... Anyway, this is a job that should be paid more than a pure developer's job where you sit comfortably in your corner with a nice cuppa and a bag of crisps and do what you do best and actually like doing.
