Simba909
For several days I have tried to get Zephyroths 10.5.2 Rev.2 up and running on my system, but the install dvd just won't see my HDD. My HDD is a Samsung Spinpoit T166 SATA-II @ 320Gb connected to my SB600 southbridge. I have modified the install dvd with the SB600_ATA_SATA.kext, but I've read somewhere that the VIA driver which it is using doesn't support SATA-II HDD's :S Does anyone know how to solve my problem? My specs: CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ @ 2.5GHz MB: MSI K9A2 CF-F HDD: 1 x Samsung Spinpoint T166 SATA-II @ 320Gb Northbridge: AMD/ATi 790X Southbridge: ATi SB600 Memory: 4Gb Corsair 800Mhz (DDR2 667) RAM GFX: ATi Powercolor HD3870
iseeu
yeah sadly you have a unsupported chipset just like 60 percent of the pc community. your best bet would be to get a new motherboard,or get a ide drive
dasepsilon
try zephs 10.5.1 instead-- it worked miracles on my sb700. (and no other dvd even bothered to boot, regardless what i hacked into devicelist)
