JeffInTheBox
Hi guys, To begin with I will admit: I'm *really* new to Mac, even moreso to a *nix OS. Now, having said that, I've got a QE problem, that I'm sure someone out there, smarter then me, can help me with.... My system sees the correct video card, ( nVidia 5500 128MB VRAM) However, QE is not running.. ergo, I cannot do anything that requires a 3D graphics engine (like games and the such). At this point, I've read through, and used NVinstall1 v. 5.1, and also NVinjecter. I'm totally stumped on what to try next. If anyone can help, I'd really appreicate it, but please remember, I'm *Really* new to this, so if I've got to go into terminal for anything, I'm fine doing so (I've already gone into the .ktext files and put in my deviceID and stuff).. just please spell out the steps. Thanks all, and I apologize if this has been addressed, I *did* look, but none of the answers helped.. Let me know what info you need! -Jeff-
Lactobacillus P
It really depends on what version of OSX you are trying out. Could you be more specific? I have managed to get a 5200, a 5500, a 6200 and a 6600 working without much difficulties - all with information on this website. All AGP cards btw. You might want to check out the site PCWiz has created. He has some cool info on how to get graphics cards working.
