TheSamster
After I updated to 10.5.3 I have QE value as "not supported" in About this Mac. My card is 8600M GT on a Dell Laptop and I'm using a GFX string with dual monitor support working well (even after I updated). Any ideas?
SticMAC™
Yes, search "QE disabled insanelymac" in Google! There is a setting in your kext's info.plist to edit! StiCMAN

SticMAC™
Thats fine, because the file you have to edit is not an injector kext, but one of the others needed to get your card working! SticMAN I searched for that already, the problem is I always find results for injectors. I'm using a GFX string
wingrunr21
Samster, did you find a solution to this? I have done quite a few Google searches and have been unable to get it working. The only setting I've found that should be updated in the Info.plist is adding your card's device ID to GeForce.kext, NVDANV50Hal.kext, and NVDAResman.kext. That did not work for me. I am using Macgirl's com.apple.Boot.plist. I can get QE/CI with nvinject but not with just gfx-strings.
