rubixcube88 Posted June 16, 2008 Share Posted June 16, 2008 I'm having a bit of a problem getting this to run properly Every time I reboot, QE dies. I've managed to get around it for the time being by running a script which simply does: #!/bin/bash sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Caches/ sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Caches/ And by removing the caches, I can reboot and QE works again. I'm running 10.5.3 updated using the kalyway update, and i've also tried generating my EFI strings using my own gfxutil and EFIStudio (both 8800GT and 8800GTS G92), which all seem to lead to the same error. nothing particular appears in -v I've previously upgraded from NVInject if it makes any difference. The system i'm using is: Gigabyte EX38-DS4 XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB Intel E8400 3GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM If anyone knows what's happening could you please let me know? KiTzBiTz Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 It seem you that you updated Kalway QE/QI didn't support your graphics..try using the old kext.restore them..and reboot..force kext to load at darwin by typing -f then enter..ok.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
