Darksfot
Hello, If I have QE and CI enabled my system is slow and unusable. Yet, if I delete the extension responsible for giving me QE and CI my system becomes very fast (of course with QE and CI not supported). Does this mean that there is no way i can have them normally? And another question, i don't want to create a new topic, can i have a PS2 kb and an usb mouse? because my mouse works but my kb doesnt. and my usb kb that i use to fill the things the installation asks it's messed up so i basically wrote rubbish specs: AMD64 2800+ 512MB PC3200 RAM 9800 Pro (AGP) Nforce3 KN8 Neo Platinum 250GB Running OS X 10.4.

Make sure the ATiRadeon9700.kext is loaded. Disable QE in Quartz Debug.
Darksfot
Hello Darksfot, I have the same problem. What's extensions did you delete? I am basically only using ATiRadeon9700.kext I disabled the other ones regarding ATI 9700. @ New001: why go through all that if i can just delete the kext file and i wont have QE anymore. or am I misunderstanding? what i want is to have QE and CI w/o the slow down. thanks

Because then you'll have Core Image (CI) and OpenGL. Now when you use the ATiRadeon9700.kext alone, you have no OpenGL and you have no Core Image. Andras Kenez
It is my opinion thhis is Nforce3 AMD+ATI Radeon 9xxx bug... I have Norce3+Sempron (SSE3)+Ati 9600 and very slow interface when QE enabled. After disabled QE with QuartzDebug interface usable. But some applixcation etc video playback is slow.... My AMD notebook, x600 ATI Radeon works well fast with QE and CI...
