Hi First post,

(bowing to the forum gods)

(apologies if i put this in the wrong place)

I have installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on My acer aspire 5920g-60 8600gt 512vram

triple boot with Vista / Xubuntu /Leopard

(8600 512vram has anyone got this running yet?)

Sorry I have read extensively on the forums and seem a little unclear as to all the steps I should have followed. I am confused as to how I add the kexts to the dvd [i put them on a usb stick].

I burned the Iso in ubuntu and installed

Selected some nvjet go whatever and powersave along with 3 kernels speed, sleep and Vanilla

Anyway installed successfully, edited grub so can access

booted darwin

First it hanged at apple, so I tried cpus=1

That seemed to work then black screen.

i thought I might have to wait it out but that didn't work.

tried -s boot

then mount -um /

That did some stuff chose yes with nvidia kexts I choose no for ati and intel

Tried some other hints from the forums but no sucess thus far

I see good hdd access and get some nice sounds from my speaker when I held down cntl alt del - [sorry too much windows]

So it seems like it is sort of working. Bar the fact I can only see a black screen.

I guess I will reinstall and try again.

Has anyone got any advice what I should try to fix this video problem?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem on my Core2Duo desktop PC with eVGA 8600GT 1Gb DDR2 PCI-e card. When i install NVinject or Natit, my monitor displays "frequency out of range" and display becomes blank. To avoid this, i remove Nvinject and then everything works fine, i get 1024x768 with 16 million colors but QE is disabled. I have an old 15" LCD Monitor and i'm using the VGA output. When i connect my PC to my friend's new Lcd monitor with DVI, i get the display with NVinject and QE enabled. I'm still searching for a solution to make it work on my monitor. Its very strange becuz in Windows XP, i can set any resolution and refresh rate and it still works on my monitor, so whats wrong with leopard ?
