So, do you just have a black screen?

What kind of port are you using? DVI (the white one) or VGA (the blue one)?

If you use DVI port it might not work, so switch it to VGA

And if the above doesn't work:

At the Darwin bootloader screen, press F8 and put "-v" at the prompt(without the quotes) and press Enter

See what comes up, I think it's because you didn't have the right video driver, but it should still boot fine.

If that doesn't work, then try to put "-x" at the Darwin prompt

It should come up

By the way, Welcome to the world of Hackintosh!!

Huh, interesting, try to boot with -v every time and see if it starts up fine everytime

But supposedly, it wouldn't matter whether you boot with -v or not. -v just shows you the process that your Mac boots. Sometimes it can solve problems while booting-- since you can see the process.

Try to take a few pics at the screen, so I can see what the problem is.

Also, put the specs. of your computer so I can determine the problem

Hi

I think I'm running in the same problem of Nick_from_Belarus

I've installed the Jas os 10.4.8 on my pc and, after the installation process was successfully completed and the machine restarted, I have the grey screen with the apple logo and then black screen!

I'm sure that the presentation is going on because if I connect my hearphones to the pc I can hear the music and then the VoiceOver starting.

Should I do the same thing of typing "-x" or "-v"?

Or simply try to install a the patched 10.5 os and see if that works? (I have that one too)

I have a Geforce FX5200 video card, which is quite old, but I think that for only booting it should be sufficent, right?!

thanks for the help
