I'm running Leo4All on my dell inspirion 1525. here is all the specs. leo4all is the only one i can get to boot even when i try installing with no video drivers. It boots fine (leo4all) but i have no QE/QI supported. I'm looking to get that. I've been trying for days with no luck. Before everyone yells at me for not searcing I've been searching like a madman for the last few days and there's like 1000 different solution and im all confused.

Here are the specs on my computer.

  • Intel® Core™2 Duo mobile processor T5550 with 2MB L2 cache and 1.83GHz processor speed
  • 3GB DDR2 memory for multitasking power, expandable to 4GB
  • Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support records up to 8.5GB of data or 4 hours of video using compatible media
  • The next-generation Intel® Core™2 Duo processor is based on the innovative Intel® Core™ microarchitecture, so it runs faster and is more energy-efficient for cooler, quieter operation
  • 15.4" XGA widescreen display with TrueLife technology and 1280 x 800 resolution
  • 250GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm)
  • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 integrated graphics with up to 256MB graphics memory as allocated by Windows Vista; high-definition 2.0 audio; S-video output

Please if anybody can help me I'd really appreciate it.

There is topic about this, but I went trhought the same, so I´ll try to explain.

1- remove all AppleIntelGMA* kexts from boot prompt -s on start up. Like this

BOOT with -s command.

then.

/sbin/fsck -fy

/sbin/mount -uw /

rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelGMA*

exit

2- look a forum topic with actual x3100 AppleIntelGMA updated kexts. (zip file)

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry690556

3- Delete your actual Natit.kext

and delete AppleIntegratedBuffer.kext

from extensions

4- Install only form the ziped file you downloaded

AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext (simcolor)

and Natit.kext from (simcolor)

use Kexthelper to install and reapir permissions.

DONT FORGET to use an active screen corner for SLEEP MODE.

reboot.!!!

5- when screen goes blank on start up activate sleep mode and descativate pushing back your pointer.

6- install all other AppleIntelGMA* from the zip file from AppleIntellGMA update.

with kext help.

then repair permissions

an the reboot

it should work ok... full capable x3100 you only have to use the sleep corner every time you start up.

Sorry for my poor english

hope it helps.
