j_perd Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 I have a ThinkCentre S51, or Model 8171. After several hours of various attempts I was able to get OSx86 on it!!! But, the onboard ethernet will not work. I've spent many hours looking on this site and others to find a solution, but all this talk of hex editing and editing kext files (and I'm new to OSX from windows, so this is new to me!!!) gets me flustered! The onboard ethernet is a Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet BCM578x (I think 5789). Has a solution been found for this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
