Mayim
I'm tearing my hair out here... I've been COMPLETELY unable to get QE/CI going on my AGP 128MB GeForce FX 5200. I've been googling up a storm and have read of many many many people with many many many cards like this getting things working; I have tried just about everything under the sun. I've tried WITH AGPGart, WITHOUT AGPGart... I've tried NVinject, I've tried Titan, I've tried Natit, I've tried various combinations of these. I've tried editing the device IDs in the kexts and I've tried leaving them alone. But I can't get the bloody thing to work. Device ID is 0x0322, revision 0x00a1, and of course the vendor is nVidia (0x10de). This is on a P4 running XxX OS X 10.4.11 on a Dell Optiplex GX270 small form factor (SFF). Please help Please, somebody, help me get this stupid thing working properly.

Nagual70
I have been able to get both QE/CI on my P4 system and the Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP 128MB. I have used the Ideneb release 10.5.5 This is my system (a little old but still good) : Intel P4 2.40 GHz 2.00 GB SDRAM Intel DG845 motherboard Intel 82801 ATA controller NVidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP 128MB During the installation I choosed the following options: AC97 Audio Kernel 9.2.0 Speedstep ICHx Fixed (in order to work with the controller Ultra ATA of the chip Intel 82801DB) Ethernet Intel 100PRO/VE (for the onboard ethernet chip Intel 82557) NVInject > NVInject 0.2.1 128MB The graphic card works flawlessly ! I strongly suggest you to move to OSX 10.5.5 Ideneb !
Ed Criscuolo
I have been able to get both QE/CI on my P4 system and the Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP 128MB.I have used the Ideneb release 10.5.5 This is my system (a little old but still good) : Intel P4 2.40 GHz 2.00 GB SDRAM Intel DG845 motherboard Intel 82801 ATA controller NVidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP 128MB During the installation I choosed the following options: AC97 Audio Kernel 9.2.0 Speedstep ICHx Fixed (in order to work with the controller Ultra ATA of the chip Intel 82801DB) Ethernet Intel 100PRO/VE (for the onboard ethernet chip Intel 82557) NVInject > NVInject 0.2.1 128MB The graphic card works flawlessly ! I strongly suggest you to move to OSX 10.5.5 Ideneb ! I have a virtually identical setup to yours, but can't get it to work with the NVidia Geforce FX 5200: Intel P4 2.40 GHz 1.5 GB SDRAM Intel D865CLC motherboard w/Intel 82801EB (ICH5) ATA controller NVidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP 128MB (ID = 0x018A, Rev = 0x00c1) Installed using iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 with: - Kernel 9.4.0 StageXNU sse2/sse3 - AC97 Audio - ICHx Fixed - Ethernet Intel 100PRO/VE - CPUS=1 fix - NVInject > NVInject 0.2.1 128MB This always panics, even booting with -x, -f, CPUS=1, -v, and all combinations. Get same result with or without AGPGart added. Have tried reinstalling with 9.2.0 Speedstep kernel, with same result. Have tried reinstalling with NVKush instead of NVinject. Almost same result. This time, I could get it to boot in safe mode only, using "-x cpus=1" If I remove the NVidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP card, and use the motherboard's built-in video (an Intel G865), and install with: - Kernel 9.4.0 StageXNU sse2/sse3 - AC97 Audio - ICHx Fixed (in order to work with the controller Ultra ATA of the chip Intel 82801DB) - Ethernet Intel 100PRO/VE (for the onboard ethernet chip Intel 82557) - CPUS=1 fix - Intel GM950 video then it boots fine (of course without QE/CI), so I know that my choices for kernel, audio, and chipset are all good. The ethernet didn't seem to install, but using Pacifist to (re)install it from the iDeneb disk worked and I was able to access my LAN. So it really comes down to the NVidia Geforce FX 5200 AGP card. I just can't get it working. Anyone with any ideas to try? @(^.^)@ Ed

vale_x79
AGPGart is compatible with nVidia - it's not compatible with the 865 chipset. My chipset is 875, i can say Agpgart for me is compatible with ati cards but not with nvidia. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=1002867 ..more developer needed for agpgart+nvidia I got my fx5200 working with qe/ci without agpgart in 10.5.5 using nvkush but also other injectors and graphics update from apple. with 2 different ati cards (9250 and 3650) i can use agpgart but still have problems with qe/ci , still looking for some good drivers
