Just to let everyone know that after much R&D, I discovered that ASUS WL-167G is by far the best solution for using wireless internet on OS x86. My system is a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 and I have iATKOS 2.0 (Leopard 10.5.2) running perfectly as dual boot with Vista. Everything worked pretty much out of the box (no Kexts for ATI display but uses generic display quite well) except for the infamous iwi3945abg internal wireless adapter. After much research on this forum and elsewhere I stumbled upon ASUS WL-167G (costs under US$25) which has drivers for 10.4 readily available for download on the ASUS website. All I had to do was download the drivers and install them and then plug in the device. Voila! I had internet working at superb speeds. One last remaining sore point is the inability to use the scrolling button on the keyboard, but configuring the trackpad to scroll upon double-click works pretty well.

I was also able to connect to a VPN via the Network function inbuilt in OSX. Will try to figure out LEAP authentication next.
